G.O.T. Orchards · Growing Opportunities Together
G.O.T. Orchards brings teens of all abilities and seniors together through inclusive mentorship, accessible nature-based learning, creativity, community service, and shared purpose.
Rooted in Central Falls
Central Falls is a close-knit, multilingual city filled with young people, elders, families, stories, and strengths.
G.O.T. Orchards grows from that community spirit. We are creating welcoming ways for teens of all abilities and seniors to meet, learn, create, and care for something together—even before the physical orchard is built.
Why This Matters
Young people and older neighbors live side by side, but they do not always have places where relationships can grow naturally. Many families also navigate disability, language differences, isolation, or financial strain.
These realities guide how we build welcome, access, and belonging from the beginning. Community information helps us understand where care is needed, but people—not numbers—remain at the heart of the work.

Who We Are
G.O.T. Orchards is an IRS-recognized Rhode Island public charity built around a simple belief: people flourish when they are welcomed, valued, and given something meaningful to do together.
Through orchard learning, creativity, mentorship, and service, participants can discover their strengths and share what they know. Early activities can begin in welcoming community spaces while the orchard itself takes root.
Who We Serve
Shared activities can reduce isolation and create welcoming opportunities for connection, learning, and belonging.
Build confidence, explore interests, develop leadership, and contribute individual strengths.
Stay active and connected while sharing knowledge, stories, traditions, and skills.
Shared learning, planting, creativity, mentorship, and service strengthen relationships and belonging.
The Orchard We Imagine
We imagine a neighborhood orchard filled with conversation, learning, shade, growing food, and the steady joy of caring for a place together.
Fruit trees and berries that can nourish neighbors and invite people to share in the harvest.
Comfort, choice, rest, movement, communication, and meaningful participation shape the space from the beginning.
Teens and seniors learn, mentor, create, and practice leadership through nature and shared experience.
Neighbors and partners care for the land, support one another, and help the orchard grow responsibly.
As resources and partnerships come together, we will share honest updates about what has grown, what we have learned, and what comes next.
Growing Together Through Programs
Programs are designed to create meaningful ways for teens and seniors to participate, contribute, learn, and lead.
Accessible literacy activities, conversation, storytelling, and shared discovery.

Explore programs →A Neighborhood Idea Taking Shape
We are exploring a simple idea: when neighborhood fruit is plentiful, could it be shared safely with families and local food partners? This program is not operating yet, and no fruit is being accepted. The Programs page will always carry the current public status.
Access for Everyone
We want people to arrive knowing there is room for them. Access shapes the spaces, activities, communication, pacing, and support we imagine from the very beginning.
Inclusive routes, growing heights, seating, shade, adaptive tools, and space to rest.
Clear information, flexible pacing, breaks, and multiple ways to communicate.
Options to join, observe, adapt, contribute, receive support, mentor, or lead.
A Possibility We Are Exploring
A familiar community space could offer teens and seniors a gentle place to read, create, share stories, learn new things, and get to know one another while the orchard continues to grow.
This is a possibility, not yet an active partnership. Any activities, dates, roles, and approvals would be shaped together with library leadership before a program is announced.
What We Hope Will Grow
We want teens and seniors to leave each gathering feeling more confident, more connected, and more certain that their gifts matter.
