As a child, Edifice experienced exclusion connected to financial hardship. School trips and community experiences were often out of reach, leaving a lasting understanding of what it feels like to stand outside looking in.

Edifice Bemah founded G.O.T. Orchards from a deep understanding of exclusion—and a determination to create welcoming places where teens of all abilities and seniors can be seen, valued, connected, and invited to contribute.
Where Purpose Took Root
From being left out to building belonging.
The path to G.O.T. Orchards brought together personal experience, professional caregiving, community needs, and a belief in the power of connection across generations.
Healthcare & Community Work
Her work supporting people with varied physical, cognitive, mental health, and neurological support needs deepened her understanding of dignity, inclusion, accessibility, and human connection.
Recognizing a Need
She saw seniors seeking ways to remain active, connected, and valued while their knowledge, stories, skills, and experience were not always given room to be shared.
The Vision Becomes G.O.T.
G.O.T. Orchards was created to respond to these needs together through nature, mentorship, accessible participation, service, fresh-fruit access, and belonging.

The Vision Taking Root
Fundraising is underway for an accessible urban orchard.
The founder’s mission is to ensure that everyone can experience the learning, connection, purpose, and belonging of a community orchard—even when visiting a full-scale orchard is not feasible.
The planned orchard and orchard-inspired community programs will create welcoming opportunities for intergenerational learning, mentorship, environmental stewardship, creativity, service, gathering, and responsible fruit sharing.
