Teens of All Abilities
Accessible opportunities to learn, create, lead, and build relationships.
Our Mission
The mission of G.O.T. Orchards is to connect teens of all abilities and seniors through inclusive mentorship, accessible nature-based learning, environmental stewardship, creativity, community service, and responsible fruit sharing.
Mission Statement
Communities grow stronger when people are recognized for their abilities, experience, creativity, and potential.
Teens and seniors will learn together, build confidence, practice leadership, care for the environment, and serve their community.
Who the Mission Brings Together
Accessible opportunities to learn, create, lead, and build relationships.
Opportunities to stay active, mentor, learn, and share knowledge and experience.
Partnership that respects individual needs, preferences, and goals.
Schools, senior communities, fruit pantries, neighbors, and organizations contributing expertise or support.
Mission in Action
Programs are planned to offer varied roles and multiple ways to participate.
Accessible orchard and environmental activities that build practical skills and stewardship.
Reading, storytelling, arts, and hands-on projects that recognize different strengths.
Shared knowledge, encouragement, skills, and leadership across generations.
Community service and responsible sharing of orchard and neighborhood harvests.
Community Fruit Access
G.O.T. Orchards is exploring a seasonal way for established fruit-tree owners to express interest in sharing safe, usable whole fruit.
No fruit is currently being accepted. Any future activity will begin only after written guidance, clear permission, safe handling practices, and confirmed community partners are in place.
Mission Standards
What Guides the Mission
People are welcomed as contributors whose choices and strengths matter.
Participation considers physical access, sensory needs, communication, comfort, and support.
Teens and seniors learn with and from one another instead of being separated by age.
Safeguarding, preparation, emergency planning, and clear boundaries protect participants.
Land, fruit, funds, privacy, and community trust are treated responsibly.
Participant and partner feedback will guide improvement as the orchard and programs develop.
What We Hope People Will Carry With Them
We will count what helps us learn without reducing people to numbers.
Put the Mission in Motion
Volunteer, collaborate, support the orchard, or help strengthen neighborhood fruit access.
